Christian and American Values

At Blaze School we uphold the Christian belief that all people are image-bearers of God and should be treated with dignity. This imbues all of our lives and actions with intrinsic meaning and purpose. Our aim is to equip students to reach their highest potential in academic achievement and outstanding moral character with a spirit of gratitude and a heart of service.

Blaze School is non-parochial, and we do not offer any explicitly religious or doctrinal instruction or hold chapel services. We do not have a statement of faith that enrollees or staff must affirm.

Every morning our students say the Pledge of Allegiance to start the school day.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Our educators cultivate logical reasoning and critical thinking skills in our students. We want them to be able to evaluate the validity of arguments and apply “reason free from passion.” Liberty is an American value; conformity is not. In other words, our objective is not ideological or theological conformity, but intellectual rigor.

Our philosophy in application can be summed up well with our B.L.A.Z.E. acronym which is displayed in our classrooms.
