Jack Ryan

College and Academic Readiness Counselor & Co-Founder

In addition to being an avid supporter of Blaze School, a tremendous father to his children, and a loyal and faithful friend, Jack Ryan is CEO and Co-Founder of REX, a digital alternative to the residential real estate agent. Prior to launching REX in 2015, Mr. Ryan built a media company, focusing on electronic and physical delivery of hyper-local news.  Within seven years, the company grew to 170,000 circulation in physical form and became Illinois’ third largest media company.

Before launching 22nd Century Media, Mr. Ryan was a Teacher at Hales Franciscan, a private parochial High School on the South Side of Chicago. The Student population is 100% African American, with most student recipients of federal assistance. Mr. Ryan taught English literature, U.S. History, Introduction to Law, and College Entrance Exam Preparation. We are blessed that Mr. Ryan brings his experience in the classroom to bear for our Blaze scholars as well!

Prior to joining Hales Franciscan High School, Mr. Ryan was a partner at Goldman Sachs & Co., Mr. Ryan was responsible for developing new relationships, managing major existing relationships, identifying new business opportunities in the Midwest, as well as managing the Midwest banking team.  

Mr. Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts, Government, summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1981, his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and his Juris Doctor, with Honors from Harvard Law School in 1985. He has been a guest on Fox News, Maria Bartiromo show, CNBC Business, and many other radio, television and print publications.
